Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and your rights. Last updated: 16 May 2026.
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit pixova.uk or contact us, how we use it, and what rights you have under UK GDPR.
We keep this as plain as possible. If you have any questions, email us at hello@pixova.uk.
1. Who we are
Pixova is a web design and digital marketing agency based in Birmingham, UK. For the purposes of UK GDPR, Pixova is the data controller for any personal data collected through this website.
Contact: hello@pixova.uk
Website: pixova.uk
2. What information we collect
Contact form
When you fill in our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, business name, phone number, email address, the nature of your enquiry, and how you found us. This is submitted via Formspree, a third-party form service. Formspree stores your submission on their servers in order to forward it to us. You can read their privacy policy at formspree.io.
Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use our website — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where visitors come from (broadly, by country or region). GA4 does not identify you personally. It uses cookies and collects data such as your approximate location, device type, browser, and behaviour on the site.
Analytics cookies are only set after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics data is collected. You can withdraw your consent at any time on our Cookie Policy page.
This data is processed by Google and stored on Google's servers. You can also opt out at any time using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage on this site. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and details of how to manage your preferences.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs basic technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This is used for security and performance monitoring. Vercel's privacy policy is available at vercel.com.
3. Why we collect it and our legal basis
Under UK GDPR, we need a lawful basis for processing personal data. Here is ours:
- Contact form submissions — processed on the basis of legitimate interests: you have reached out to us asking about our services, and we need your details to respond.
- Analytics data (GA4) — processed on the basis of consent: we only load Google Analytics after you have actively clicked "Accept" on our cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiry and discuss your project.
- Send you information you have requested about our services.
- Follow up after our initial conversation, where relevant.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not use it for automated decision-making.
5. Who we share your data with
We only share your data with the following third parties, and only to the extent necessary to operate this website and respond to enquiries:
- Formspree — processes and forwards contact form submissions. Formspree Privacy Policy.
- Google (Analytics) — processes anonymised website usage data, only with your consent. Google Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — hosts this website and processes basic server log data. Vercel Privacy Policy.
We may also be required to share data if compelled by law — for example, in response to a court order. We would only do this if legally required.
6. How long we keep your data
- Contact form data — we keep enquiry emails for as long as there is a legitimate business reason, typically up to 2 years from our last contact with you.
- Analytics data — Google Analytics retains data for 14 months by default.
- Server logs — retained by Vercel for a short period for security purposes.
If you become a client, we will retain your project-related information for up to 6 years in line with UK tax and accounting requirements.
7. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — you can ask us what personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data (the "right to be forgotten"), where we have no legal obligation to keep it.
- Right to restriction — you can ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to object — you can object to us processing your data where we rely on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent — where we rely on your consent (analytics), you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Right to portability — you can ask for a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@pixova.uk. We will respond within one month, as required by law.
8. Requesting data deletion
If you would like us to delete any personal data we hold about you, email hello@pixova.uk with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and tell us what you would like removed. We will confirm what we hold, delete what we can, and explain anything we are legally required to keep.
9. Keeping your data secure
We take reasonable steps to keep your data secure. We use reputable third-party services (listed above) that maintain their own security standards. We do not store contact form data ourselves — it is forwarded directly to our email via Formspree.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take this seriously and keep our processes as tight as possible.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first at hello@pixova.uk — we would rather sort it directly.
If you are still not satisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
- Website: ico.org.uk
- Helpline: 0303 123 1113
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. We recommend checking back occasionally if you are interested in how we handle data.
12. Contact
